DEE:

Tyler, how did you feel when you first received the script for Lies In Disguise by author Bernice Layton?

TYLER:

Intrigued. The idea of identical twins switching places isn’t necessarily new, but this situation was completely unexpected. This wasn’t something planned between the sisters—it came out of tragedy.

And the emotional depth these two actresses bring to Corinne and Charlene is incredible. Really, the entire cast brings something special to the story. It’s epic.

DEE:

Corinne, could you relate to any part of your character’s personality? Was there anything about her that you admired?

CORINNE:

Absolutely. I could relate to her go-getter spirit. Corinne came from near poverty, yet she was determined to create a better life for herself. She was ambitious, intelligent, and unwilling to let her circumstances determine her future. I admired that about her. What I didn’t admire… was the way she sometimes went about getting what she wanted.

DEE:

Charlene, what about you? Do you see any similarities between yourself and your character?

CHARLENE:

Definitely. I’m very protective of the people I love, just like Charlene. Family is extremely important to me. I also love the way Bernice wove the relationship between these sisters into the story. Even though Corinne and Charlene are very different women, you can still feel that connection between them.

And I especially loved how Bernice carried some of those shared family traits into Corinne’s twins. It adds another layer to the family dynamic.
